The Colourful Festivals of India

When you are backpacking in India there are a lot of ways to explore the culture of this country. You can check out different art exhibitions in various cities or visit a market and see the life go by.

But if you want to truly enjoy the authentic culture of India then there is not a better way to explore it than attending a festivals. India is a land of colourful festivals celebrated in every corner. Indian festivals involve colourful dresses, music, food and dance. In my last 5 years of backpacking in India, I have attended many festivals in North East India, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. And other than commercial festivals, I have never experienced anything disappointing.

Here is a short glimpse about my festival travel in India. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
